So far today has been dry with some sunbreaks, but showers are on our doorstep with the rain hitting Corvallis and Salem as of the 4 o’clock hour. The rain will move into the Portland area this evening, and then we will see the showers continue overnight tonight. It’ll be a wet start as we kick off the first week of 2021. Expect frequent showers tomorrow before we get a little bit of a break on Tuesday. Rain will return by Tuesday evening into Wednesday. Temperatures are staying above average, too. We’ll stay near 50 degrees for the next week.
Snow levels will dip down to about 3,500 feet Monday, so more snow for Mt. Hood! Then we will get even more snow action on Tuesday night into Wednesday. We’ll be briefly dry on Thursday, but then Friday will feature more scattered showers. Rain will arrive late on Saturday, so most of your Saturday will likely be dry. It looks like more moisture is back by Sunday, at least for a little bit. Still no sign of a cold spell or any major storm systems in the lowlands for about the next 10 days.
